Sandpiper inspector
After following a small flock of shorebirds around the beach for at least half an hour, this curious western sandpiper (Calidris mauri) decided to check out what exactly the slow crawling human with the giant lens coming out of his nose was. He tentatively scurried over pretty close to me, apparently decided I wasn't a threat, and then scurried back to the group.
